The infant program is designed to provide an environment that is nurturing, predictable, and responsive. Caregivers work with parents to provide consistency for each child.

A daily record of activities is kept and includes feedings, sleeping patterns, bowel movements, developmental milestones, and activities for the day. Each day infants will have one-on-one time with their primary caregivers, interaction with other infants, and individual time for playing and observing. Individual cribs are only used for nap times.

walkers and toddlers

Our walkers and toddlers program provides an environment that is stimulating and comfortable. Young children are able to explore as they express their curiosity and independence.

Children will have an opportunity to engage in group and individual activities as well as teacher-directed and child-initiated activities. A daily record of each child’s activities is kept and includes feedings, sleeping patterns, bowel movements, developmental milestones, and activities for the day.

3 & 4-year-olds
3-year-olds • ratio 1:10
4-year-olds • ratio 1:12

The 3- and 4-year-old programs are designed to provide a nurturing environment that focuses on promoting positive self-esteem and teaching children to become more independent.

Children have daily opportunities to manipulate, experiment, question, and communicate about the world around them. Learning centers allow children to engage in spontaneous and instructive play while providing instruction that is consistent with the developmental progression of each child.

preschool
3-year-olds • t/th 9-11:30 a.m.
4-year-olds • m/w/f 9-11:30 a.m. or 1-3:30 p.m.

Handprints' traditional preschool program will operate September through May (Tuesday following Labor Day to the Friday preceding Memorial Day). Preschoolers follow the same curriculum as the morning portion of the 3-year-old and 4-year-old full-day programs.
